The single UK reorder king of the welding series. No. 5 is the default acetylene welding size for medium plate and heavier fillets — the one workshops reorder on its own, so we stock it as a single.

High-flow single for heavy heating and pre-heat. No. 16 puts out the broad, hot flame needed to bring thick stock, castings and large fittings up to temperature — without the flame shrink you get forcing a small nozzle past its rating.

Questions
Do I need all ten if I mostly weld 3 mm plate?
Sizes No. 4–6 will do 90% of that work; the set pays for itself when jobs vary. If you only ever weld one thickness, a single like No. 5 costs less.
Can these be used for brazing?
Welding nozzles can braze in a pinch, but the brazing nozzle series gives a softer flame envelope — see /learn/brazing-nozzle-size-chart/.
