Acetylene Welding Nozzle No. 16 (Heating)
High-flow single for heavy heating and pre-heat. No. 16 puts out the broad, hot flame needed to bring thick stock, castings and large fittings up to temperature — without the flame shrink you get forcing a small nozzle past its rating.

Questions
Can No. 16 weld with?
It is a heating nozzle: use it to pre-heat and for local heating, then switch to a welding size (No. 5–8) for the weld itself. See /learn/oxy-acetylene-nozzle-numbers/.
My torch head is small — will it drive No. 16?
If your hoses and head are sized for up to No. 10, the flame will starve at No. 16. Check your head’s rated range ⚠ before ordering, or send us the model.
