FS-BRAZING-RODS
Brazing Rods - Aluminium & Copper (Sold Separately)
The rods on their own, once you already run a cartridge torch. Low-temperature aluminium and copper rods that braze at the kind of heat a 1300C butane torch gives you - the same rods that ship in our head-and-rods pack, so if you proved the flame there, this is the top-up order. Tell us the metals you join and we confirm rod diameter, alloy and pack count in your quote.
Sizing depends on the metals and the joint, not just the torch. Send us the metals and section thickness - or a photo of the joint - and we confirm the rod before you order. Otherwise → /contact/.

CONFIRMED PER ORDER
These are set against the metals and the joint you are working with, so they are agreed in writing before the order ships rather than guessed on this page:
- Rod diameter and length - set against the section thickness of the joint you are working, so the figure is confirmed with your order
- Alloy grade and working-temperature range - varies between the aluminium and copper rods and by supplier batch, so we state it in writing per rod
- Pack size - sample pack or bulk carton, priced on the quantity you actually need
- Flux requirement - some aluminium rods carry their own flux and some do not, so we confirm rather than assume
Everything above this box is fixed and published. Ask in the form below and we return the figures for your order in writing.

- Check local gas-appliance rules before fitting or brazing
Pairs well with
FS-EN417-HEAD
EN417 Torch Head (1300°C, Cartridge Torch)
The hot head of the EN417 range, on its own. Electronic piezo ignition fires it with one thumb, a built-in air-mix fan holds the flame steady in draughts, and the burner reaches 1300°C - hot enough for metal-tube soldering, small brazing jobs and workshop heating that defeats ordinary heads. It threads straight onto a standard EN417 butane cartridge: no cylinder, no hose, nothing pressurised in the post.
FS-EN417-HEAD-RODS
EN417 Torch Head + Test Brazing Rods (Aluminium & Copper)
The same 1300°C EN417 head, supplied with a test pack of aluminium and copper brazing rods. The point is to prove it on your own work before committing to bulk: light it, braze a scrap joint, and judge the finish yourself. Rods travel alongside the head, so one order gets you both. Screws onto a standard EN417 butane cartridge - no cylinder, no hose.
FS-EN417-HEAD-KIT
EN417 Torch Head + Service Kit (Spare Seals & Screwdriver)
The same 1300°C EN417 head, with the two things that keep a cartridge torch working: replacement seals and a repair screwdriver. The seal at the cartridge joint is the part that ages first - it hardens, stops sealing and the torch starts hissing at the valve. With a spare seal and the right driver in the box, that is a two-minute fix instead of a replacement torch. Threads onto any standard EN417 butane cartridge.
Guides that cover this part
GUIDE
Which blowtorch for soldering copper pipe?
For 15 and 22 mm capillary joints a butane EN417 cartridge torch with a soldering nozzle is enough - flame shape beats power. When 28 mm work needs oxy-fuel.

Questions
Which rod do I need, aluminium or copper?
It follows the metals you are joining, not the torch: aluminium rod for aluminium sheet and tube, copper rod for copper pipe and fittings. Join dissimilar metals and the answer depends on the pair - tell us both sides of the joint and we will confirm.
Will these work with the cartridge torch I already own?
Low-temperature aluminium brazing rods are made for air torches like this one - that is the normal way they are used. Copper work takes more heat, so small copper joints are fine and heavy copper wants oxy-fuel. Tell us the job and we will say honestly which side of that line it sits on.
Do the rods come with flux?
Some aluminium rods carry their own flux, some do not. Tell us the rods you want and we confirm whether flux is included or sold alongside - we will not let you find out at the bench.
Can I buy a small amount first?
Yes - ask for a sample pack. We would rather you proved the rod on your own scrap than ordered a carton on our word.
Do you ship gas with the rods?
No. We never ship gas cylinders or cartridges; the rods are ordinary goods and ship worldwide.
